The long road to “zero” emissions

22/04/2019

The dream of a carbon-free world is still a long way off, but not impossible.

In the UK, environmental activists have demanded that the country’s emissions be zeroed in 2025, but it will be very difficult to achieve.

What is expected is that by 2050, the nation will be carbon free, which would be a milestone for sustainability: “2050 is capable and desirable and would have an insignificant overall cost to the economy,” says the former chairman of the climate change committee , Lord Turner.
