A "Designated Operating Entity," or DOE, is the technical term for an organization that is accredited by the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) to certify that a greenhouse gas emission reduction project is generating carbon credits and, in our case, also bringing demonstrable social, environmental and economic co-benefits to the project.
Sustainable Carbon contracts either the TÜV NORD Gruppe or BVC (Bureau Veritas Certification) to validate our projects. As credibility is the most important value in the carbon market, having our projects validated by these organizations is extremely important to us.
Once our projects are validated and verified by either of these two DOEs, we place our credits on the SOCIALCARBON® Registry on the Markit Envrionmental Registry where anyone can view several aspects about our credits, including the Project Design Document (PDD) and verification reports.
