- Jobs in the productive process at red ceramic industries demand great physical efforts from staff which makes difficult the inclusion of women. Despite this fact, three women are working in the production chain and one in the administration department

Environmental
- Use of renewable biomass such as sawdust and sugar cane bagasse
- The enterpriser buys clay from other Ceramics which have contracts with CESP (Energy company of São Paulo State) – responsible of the clay extraction
- Broken or damaged pieces before passing by the ceramic firing process are fully reused and reintroduced to the mass of clay. Shards of broken or damaged bricks after going through the firing process are used for grounding of land
- Ashes generated in the firing process are used to seal the kilns doors
Economic
- The ceramic did not need any funding in the period analyzed
- The drying of part of the devices is made in driers, a continuous process in a closed stove (“glass-house”) with exhaust
- Semi-automatic control of the fire curve. This system is composed by thermocouples, sensors that capture heat from the interiors of kilns during the firing process, and transmit the signal to a digital indicator of temperature, read on a display
- All machineries are in good conditions
