Gold Standard Projects
As Gold Standard project developers we consult local stakeholders to make
sure the project responds to local concerns regarding the environmental, social
and economic impacts on the local area.
Using information from this consultation - and from the Gold Standard
project development guidelines - we use a sustainable development matrix to
calculate the impact of the project. Projects that maintain an overall positive
impact are certified with the Gold Standard.

SOCIALCARBON® Projects
In many small communities
around the world, sustainability is a goal that takes time and resources to
achieve. Through the SOCIALCARBON Standard, our team works with local groups, reinvesting
income from carbon credits to deliver social, environmental and economic
improvements to the local community over the course of a project’s lifespan. By
monitoring this progress each year, our clients can see where their

To demonstrate where each
SOCIALCARBON project is on its path to comprehensive sustainability, each is
given a sustainability grade which is mapped directly to its SOCIALCARBON score
from its most recent monitoring period.
Each project grade presents
clients with a unique purchase opportunity to compliment their offsetting
interests and needs.

Grade is given to projects in
the early stage of sustainable development according to their SOCIALCARBON
performance. These projects have an established blueprint to be sustainable but
need revenues from carbon credits to achieve their goals. By investing in these
projects, clients have the most potential to shape the development trajectory
of each project to the end of its lifespan. |

Develop
Grade is given to projects in
the mid stage of sustainable development according to their SOCIALCARBON
performance. These projects have demonstrable commitment to social and
environmental development; long-lasting results having been achieved across a
number of SOCIALCARBON indicators. By investing in these projects, clients will
support pre-established initiatives that fit their offsetting interests and
also contribute to progress in other areas and drive the project towards full

performance. These projects have comprehensive commitment to sustainability to
both the community and environment; long-lasting results having been achieved in
every SOCIALCARBON indicator. By investing in these projects, clients

that will continue past the project lifespan as permanent benefits to the
